The dealer appraisal app
Brief the job. Check the car. Estimate prep. Close with the seller. Hand your team a retail-ready report. One workflow — and Checks never handles the purchase money.
Who it is for
Dealers who buy at auction or collect privately. Drivers who do the on-site work. Each dealer can switch driver invoicing on or off. Reports can carry the dealer’s own branding.
The workflow
Before collection
Enter the auction information by hand (link, notes, photos). Pull in DVSA MOT details with advisories highlighted. The driver sees what the listing claimed and what the MOT already flagged.
On-site condition check
The driver walks the car, records condition with photos, and completes a 30+ minute test drive. Findings sit against the brief so issues that were not disclosed stand out.
Prep cost estimate
Attach estimated prep and repair costs to what was found. Use that total when you renegotiate with the seller.
Seller paperwork and payment record
Capture the seller’s invoice to the dealer at the agreed price, the seller’s declaration, and an e-signature. The app records the dealer’s payment to the seller. Motor X Checks never handles the money for the vehicle purchase.
Driver invoice (optional)
Where the dealer has it switched on, the driver can raise their invoice for the job. Dealers can turn this off in their settings.
Retail-ready report
Produce an editable, dealer-branded report as stock moves towards retail. Checklist rules (for example MOT length and advisories) are set by the dealer.
Money handling
- We do not move the money for the car.
- This information site does not take payments for checks or appraisal fees.
